lyrics

I’m never ever ever ever gonna let your words be true
But they ring in my head
I remember what you said

Not gonna ever ever ever accept your words as true
Prove you wrong instead
I remember what you said

I silently received it
Even believed it
I didn’t know better at the time

You took advantage of my youth
In order to be cruel
Took me years to realize

Always put me down
So that I would stick around
Told me how to look at the world

You were wrong about me
And what you see
Wish I could go back and tell that girl

I’m never ever ever ever gonna let your words be true
But they ring in my head
I remember what you said

Not gonna ever ever ever accept your words as true
Prove you wrong instead
I remember what you said

If you think that you’re gonna break us
To belittle and humiliate us
Don’t you know that’s our inspiration?
Gonna turn that into greatness

I remember what you said

Kept all your words, pressed into pearls
I’m proud as the strand gets longer
A woman is not born, she is forged
Heat and hammers are what make her strong

Kept all your words, pressed into pearls
Prettier as you get wronger
A woman is not born, she is forged
Heat and hammers are what make her strong

I’m never ever ever ever gonna let your words be true
But they ring in my head
I remember what you said

Not gonna ever ever ever accept your words as true
Prove you wrong instead
I remember what you said

(Never ever ever ever)

A woman is not born, she is forged
Heat and hammers are what make her strong
